The British Communication Grid

The Matrix is subdivided into Local Telecommunication Grids or LTGs only. The security code for the BTG is Orange-5. The BTG is owned and operated by BriTelecom, the only national provider, which has worked hard to hear and solve the complaints of the population about all the services available.

Britan has a public service network within the Matrix, C-net, which stores data on public events, update news, transport, weather, public service announcements, group meetings in indexed local areas and a great deal else in the public domain.

The Chancellery Net and the Information Doctorate are responsible for the maintenance and safety of the BTG.

The Grid

As it is in any other country, the BTG is connected to all security systems and network protocols. Given the latest security breakdowsn in London, the Office of the Lord Protector has granted special permissions to security Matrix commitees to guarantee the safety of the population's information. Some of the national security systems are the best for detecting aberrant patterns which should not be in a given place and a given time (for instance, weapons or an abnormally large crowd of people gathering near a busines)s. Such anomalies are immediately transmitted to other proper authorities.

Every single PAN (Personal Area Network) in the country is connected to a corresponding SIN number so that the safety of navigation and the ones responsible for its malfunctioning may be quickly identified and addressed, if necessary.

In public areas all security systems are able to monitor sights, sounds and chemical odors. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification tags) is present in almost every item in almost any store, to help track inventory and keep the items from wandering out of the store.

As usual, HotSim navigation is strictly forbidden.
